'The best birthday he could have imagined'

Thank you so much to you and the team, who ensured everything went so smoothly. I cannot speak highly enough of the level of service from everyone. All of the guests had a wonderful time and my husband said it was 'the best birthday he could have imagined'. Thank you so much for all of the preparation and planning, we had a unforgettable time.

'Spontaneously extended our stay'

We loved our stay at Bellinter so much that we spontaneously extended our stay. The beds were so comfortable we felt like sleeping on a cloud. Everyone is so friendly at Bellinter - a special shout-out also to the barkeeper; he was a true expert in his field and sweetened our stay with the perfect drink recommendations for any time of the day and was a truly fun guy - what more can you ask from when you’re at the bar?

‘Had some difficulty finding the place but Steven was very helpful and we soon found our way. Upon arrival the drive up to the hotel told me we were about to encounter some form of grandour -  I was not disappointed. Booked in, was courteously shown to our room, walked past a sign saying "Ruins" but when we entered that wing it was the complete opposite. Room 6 was ours and I wish it still was ours. The massive bed is comfortable, maybe too comfortable, slept like a baby. Bathroom exquisite. The shower cabinet is large enough for several people never mind 1. The wooden beams blended in well with the modern touches of the bedroom and was impressed with the lighting system. TV was a lot bigger than normal hotel sets. We moved down for a drink and were told about the games room (child free - a blessing), also well stocked library. Took our drinks into the very large yet very welcoming room with the feature fireplace where we sat on a rather extra comfy settee beside the fire and just drifted off in conversation. This was also the room where we had our evening meal, and I don't think how simple a meal as the beef pie could leave me so filled and fulfilled. Superb. Service from the staff was efficient and unobtrusive allowing us to enjoy our meal and drinks. It was so easy to settle into our settee and just absorb the mellow atmosphere, even though others were in the room, it was so private at the same time. The grounds which we didn't get to explore looked excellent and will see more of them on a future visit. the spa treatments and jacuzzi also the outdoor spa we will avail of next time. Staff from entering until we departed were so friendly and courteous - a credit to the hotel. To sum up our stay; perfect location, superb staffing and excellent product all round’

'A wonderful short break'

To celebrate a special birthday my friends and I visited this beautiful house for afternoon tea and an overnight stay with breakfast. Every detail was perfect, the afternoon tea was delicious. The bedrooms warm, quirky with extremely comfortable beds. But for me the element that makes Bellinter House extra special is the staff, from the warm welcome at reception to the extremely professional, yet friendly, charming and really lovely staff who looked after us at afternoon tea and in the bar, they were exceptional. A very special thank you to Aaron, Hayley and our wonderful night porter Ronan who looked after us so well. These young people have a great future in the hospitality industry with such a great attitude and lovely manner. We will most definitely return to Bellinter House.

'Great stay'

We have stayed in the hotel twice, once in the stables and once in the schoolhouse building. we found the rooms lovely and very clean, the staff very helpful and friendly and the food delicious. The spa is also lovely with a great view from the relaxation area.

'A little piece of magic just a short drive from Dublin'

I'm just back from an overnight in Bellinter House. From the minute we arrived we were treated like VIP's. The manager Paul Beehan and all his staff were exceptional and so welcoming and helpful. The room in the ruins was gorgeous and unique. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a great night sleep. For dinner that evening we both had the RibEye steak. When I say that this was the best steak I have ever had I am not exaggerating. It was so flavoursome and just melted in my mouth. It is well worth the visit just for that. The following morning I had a lovely back massage by Claire who was amazing. When I left Bellinter I was so relaxed and the only negative I have is I couldn't stay any longer. Beautiful location, fabulous food and amazing staff. I would definitely recommend for an overnight (or longer) and will be back soon.

'Birthday Celebrations'

Went to Bellinter House last weekend with two great friends who so kindly treated me for my birthday. We stayed in the stables which are fab. Beds were so comfy and bathrooms were fantastic. From arrival to departure everything was a dream. Paul was so welcoming as were all his staff. They couldn't do enough for us. Dinner was beautiful and so fresh and tasty. Breakfast was just as nice with a lovely selection of food and plenty of it. The decor in the main house is elegant and the colours so suited the house. I will definitely be back and hopefully very very soon. Thanks Paul for the lovely treats in our room.

'A perfectly lovely place to spend the afternoon'

We had a lovely time in Bellinter and would recommend it to anyone. The staff in the spa were all so friendly and helpful. After our spa treatments, we used the other facilities; the sauna and the hot tub. The hot tub is outside and we found that sitting under the trees listening to the birds was a lovely way to finish off a relaxing morning. Afternoon tea was delicious and it was no problem to make minor changes to the menu. I highly recommend it.

'Family Birthday'

I stayed with my girlfriend in the attic of the main house, it was amazing. The standalone bath tub did quiet the job. We had dinner in the library which we had private use of for the evening. You have to check out the birdie wallpaper. Food and service was top class. I can't wait to come back and next time we will use the hot tub !

'A Very Memorable Family Celebration'

We stayed in Bellinter House recently for my brothers birthday and I cannot fault the whole experience. We had dinner booked in the evening and some of us had treatments booked during the day. When we arrived we were made very welcome and were shown to our rooms. Those of us who had treatments loved them. I had a massage and can honestly say it was one of the best massages I had in a very long time. We had dinner in the cellar and with the help of some staff members they allowed us to decorate the seating area as a surprise for my brother which I felt was very thoughtful. Our waiter Ronan was so friendly and was so quick to help with any requests or questions we had on the night. The food was incredible and from the empty plates at the end of dinner I can say my family thought the same. After dinner we retired upstairs to the very quirky decorated drawing rooms (but adds to the charm of this place) to finish off our day with a nightcap. As I said I couldn't fault my stay here - the rooms were lovely, the house itself is superb, the staff, the food and the spa all amazing. I'll definitely be back.
